At TAB Construction, we believe successful projects are built through strong planning, communication, and execution. We are seeking a Construction Operations Coordinator who will play a critical role in supporting our field operations and production teams.

This position is responsible for helping coordinate the day-to-day activities of active construction projects, including workforce planning, equipment scheduling, concrete operations, production planning, and communication between the field and office. The Operations Coordinator works closely with superintendents, foremen, project managers, and leadership to identify potential issues before they impact production and to ensure resources are aligned with company priorities.

This is not a traditional office role. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment where priorities can change quickly. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to supporting the people performing the work in the field.

The Operations Coordinator has a direct impact on project success by helping eliminate delays, improve communication, reduce rework, and keep crews productive.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short-term production schedules and project lookahead plans
  • Coordinate concrete pours, material deliveries, and supplier communication
  • Schedule and coordinate equipment movement between projects
  • Work directly with superintendents and foremen to understand upcoming work activities
  • Communicate production plans and operational priorities throughout the organization
  • Coordinate manpower needs and assist with workforce planning
  • Identify potential conflicts, resource shortages, or scheduling issues before they impact production
  • Serve as a communication link between field personnel, project teams, and leadership
  • Monitor project progress and assist with problem-solving as operational issues arise
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to planning, scheduling, and field operations
  • Utilize company technology and management systems to improve visibility and efficiency
  • Assist in reducing delays, confusion, and rework across projects
  • Support leadership in achieving company production and operational goals

Qualifications

  • Construction, concrete, field operations, dispatching, logistics, or project coordination experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated with a high level of accountability and ownership
  • Ability to work effectively with field personnel, vendors, subcontractors, and management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with construction management software is a plus
  • Understanding of heavy civil, concrete, paving, underground utility, or general construction operations is preferred
